Letter of Support - May 4, 2005

I was never officially a student a Dr. Washington's, but in the two years that I've known her, she has taught me and my company's patrons a lot. I operate Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company, a theatre organization in San Diego. We have relied on Dr. Washington's expertise in the area of women's studies on a couple occasions to serve as a speaker following our performances. She always immediately engages the audiences and challenges them to explore the themes and issues in our plays from all angles, enriching the theatre experience for all our audiences. I hope Dr. Washington will be reappointed at SDSU or another university. The students are missing out without her there.
