Director of Development, Lambda Letters Project
The Lambda Letters Project (LLP), a non-profit corporation, is looking for an experienced
development professional to develop, coordinate and implement the organization's fundraising
program. The position will be headquartered in Sacramento, California.
The position will oversee the process of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation of
grants, donations, and major gifts, as well as the development and implementation of fund raising
events, to further the mission of Lambda Letters Project's advocacy for LGBTI people, people
living with HIV/AIDS, people of color, and women. The Director of Development will collaborate
with the Board of Directors and network with members of LLP and the broader community to
maximize LLP's acquisition of grants and donations from foundations, fund raising events, LLP
members and other individuals.
Qualified applicants should have a bachelors degree and a minimum of three years fund-raising
experience. Applicants with an appropriate advanced degree, demonstrated success with fund
raising events, and grant-writing experience are preferred. Women, members of ethnic and
LGBTI communities are urged to apply.
